Lori is on a few insurance panels at this time. Most of her clients are self-pay (pay out of pocket for their sessions).
Lori currently is an In-Network Provider for:
DMBA
EMI Educator's Mutual Insurance
PEHP
If I am not currently on your insurance panel, I will be happy to give you a superbill that itemizes your sessions, amount paid, and diagnosis for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement as an out-of-network provider. You will be responsible for paying for the total session at the time of service. Please note, that each insurance is different and most will only reimburse a portion of your payment.
After we will schedule our first appointment. I will email you a link to fill out your brief paperwork before our first session as well as a link to log in for our session. The first session I will tend to ask questions and get to know your life story in a safe and comfortable space. I will focus on information gathering, history, and developing treatment goals that are aligned with your goals in therapy.
With the exceptions of mandated reporting of disclosure of abuse or neglect, and basic diagnosis and dates of treatment to insurance, I keep the strictest of privacy. I'm ethically and legally bound to protect your privacy and take that very seriously. Without a signed release of information from you giving explicit permission to speak to someone, I will not confirm or deny we have a counseling relationship.
Counselors and therapists do not prescribe medication. I am however happy to collaborate with your trusted physician, or refer you to a provider I trust, if we decide that is an appropriate component of treatment for you.
Sessions that are not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee. It is important for us to meet together consistently for you to meet your goals and I reserve that time slot for you. In some instances, we may be able to meet via phone or secure video service as an option due to inclement weather or sickness.
My office is located in Lehi, Utah. With the convenience of Teletherapy, I’m able to see clients online who currently live anywhere in the state of Utah.
Other than not being in the same room, online therapy really is not much different than the therapy you would receive in an office. In fact, many recent studies have established that online therapy or tele-health is effective in treating depression and anxiety. I am committed to making sure all of the clients I work with receive the best evidence based therapy available whether in my office or working with them online.
Yes. Not only is it effective and therapeutic allowing clients to change and grow, it's also very convenient. People choose to use online therapy for many reasons. For example, clients who live in rural areas and don't have easy access to a therapist, clients who are physically unable to attend sessions due to disability, health reasons, or weather, and clients who have busy schedules and would like to be in therapy and are trying to fit it in their day.
